Dresses.

I have a small, but I think not unimpressive collection of vintage dresses.

This one I was lucky enough to find in a thrift store near my house. I think it's from the 1940s, but it seems to be in awfully good condition. The only problem is that it is too big and long, so I'm contemplating selling it. It's just so pretty though!

This 1960s Mod number was my first ever thrift store purchase. I couldn't believe my luck when I found it, it was in great condition and fit me perfectly. I don't think I'll ever be able to part with this one.

I bought these two 1970s dresses from a vintage store in Cardiff, Wales when I was visiting there last spring break. I love the Marcia Brady quality of the pink one (I bought it for a 70s themed party) and the red one I wear all the time.

So that's it for now, I'd love to find some more floaty, 70s dresses and some full skirted 50s dresses.

  1. Great dresses! Why not have the first one altered so you can wear it?

  2. Thank you! Maybe... it almost feels sacrilegious to alter such great vintage though!

  3. Very cute mod dress! I can never pull off that shape - I am very jealous!

I think the first one might be '800s - just cause of the elastic in the waist. But it is so sweet with that eylet lace. I would totally alter it! Just think of it as getting a new life :)
